Billerud is included in the OMX Nordic Mid Cap list
As from October 2006 Billerud is quoted on the OMX Nordic Mid Cap list.
Companies are divided into three segments: Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap. Nordic companies with a market value over one billion euro are presented within the Nordic Large Cap segment. Companies with a market value between 150 million and 1 billion euro are contained within the Mid Cap segment, while companies with a market value below 150 million euro are contained in the Small Cap segment. The segments are revised every six months, on 1 January and 1 July, based on the weighted average price for May and November.
Billerud part of the new Nordic sustainability index
Billerud is part of the Nasdaq OMX Exchange new Nordic sustainability index as one of 50 leading Nordic sustainable companies. The criterias are based on the international ESG criteria, which are in turn based on environmental, social and governance issues and are accordance with UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
The evaluation is conducted by GES Investment Services, one of Northern Europe's leading research providers for responsible investments. The top 50 ranked companies constitute the OMX GES Sustainability Index Series.
Between 2001-11-20 and 2006-09-30 Billerud was included in the Attract 40 list at the Stockholm Exchange
Attract 40 was composed by the 40 most traded stocks on the O-listan during the most recent six-month period. The position of Billerud as a stock included in the Attract 40 was therefore dependent on the turnover rate in the Billerud share, and could change in the future. The turnover rate of a company's share was adjusted to take into account the share of free float. The free float is defined as the share of total market capitalisation that is available for trading on the market. Owners holding more that 10 percent of capital or votes are deemed not to be a part of the free float.
Billerud is included in sector materials
The classification on the exchange Stockholmsbörsen is based on the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) that has been developed by Morgan Stanley Capital International Inc. (MSCI) in collaboration with Standard & Poor's (S&P). The classification is designed with four different levels. Indices are calculated for the first three levels; i.e. 10 Sectors, 24 Industry Groups and 62 Industries. Billerud is classified in following way on the different levels:
