Billerud has a wide range of liner- and fluting assortment of highest quality. High strength, purity, brightness and creep-resistance are qualities in our liner and flutingproducts that makes it possible to produce the best containerboards in the world. All our liner and fluting are FDA and BgVV approved for direct contact with food.
Fluting
Billerud Flute is made of 100% primary fibre from Scandinavian birch. This strong, clean fluting with high creep-resistance is perfect for packing fruit, vegetables and heavy goods. It can withstand large variations in moisture and temperature levels and enables high stacks of packaging to retain their shape during transportation. Our fluting also has exceptional runability, which makes it cost-effective when producing containerboard. Billerud’s fluting based on recycled fibre maintains high quality because recycled Scandinavian fibre is much stronger than other recycled fibres. Our fluting is available in grammages ranging from 99-200 g/m2, which matches demands for most packaging.
Liner
The appearance of containerboard is a major issue for us. Billerud was the first producer in the world to produce white top liner back in 1969. Now we are taking a new step forward by concentrating our production on Billerud Pure White. We are also introducing Billerud Pure Bright for applications where exceptional printing results are required. In addition to excellent printing qualities our white liners provide high strength, brightness and purity and they perform consistently well during conversion. Billerud produces liner in grammages ranging from 80-190 g/m2.
Micro corrugated
Billerud's white liner is produced in grammages down to 80 g/m2. It is used for both the outer and middle layers of micro corrugated when you don’t want a brown middle layer to be seen through the thin liner. When all the materials are white the end result is smarter and the printing quality and appearance of the packaging make it an excellent choice for contents such as perfume, pizza and gifts.
