Join us as an IT Security Specialist
This autumn, we are expanding our Network & Security team and are looking for both junior and senior IT Security Specialists to join us at one of our Swedish locations.
About the role
As an IT Security Specialist at Billerud, you will be part of a growing and dedicated team working to ensure the protection and resilience of our IT infrastructure. Depending on your experience and interests, your responsibilities may include:
- Performing vulnerability assessments, risk analyses and incident investigations
- Work with our security solutions and data recovery procedures
- Supporting the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
- Monitoring and optimizing security infrastructure
- Make sure agreements are up to date and that licenses follows business needs
- Participating in or leading IT security-related projects
- Acting as a security advisor in IT and business projects
- Support and collaborate Service Managers & SPOC to deliver on business needs.
You will report to the Manager of IT Network & Security and be based onsite at one of our Swedish units: Gävle, Skärblacka, Frövi, Gruvön, Karlsborg (Kalix) or at our head office in Solna, Stockholm.
Overtime, on-call duty and travel in service within Sweden and potentially to north America may occur occasionally.

Qualifications
We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and those early in their careers. To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A degree in IT security or equivalent experience
- A strong interest in cybersecurity and a proactive mindset
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure and security principles
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English
- A structured, analytical, and collaborative approach to work
Workplace & conditions
- This is an onsite position at one of our Swedish locations. Hybrid work is possible in line with our company policy (up to 2 remote days per week or depending on project needs).
- Please note: We do not offer relocation packages and applicants requires a valid Swedish work permit

You enjoy yourself in contexts demanding flexibility since the IT security area is constantly evolving, both in general and within Billerud. Nevertheless, you also understand and prioritize the importance of documentation.
