Summary Description:

• This role ensures that the company’s supply chain is economically optimized and that our supply chain meets the needs of our facilities and our customers.
• This individual works with the mill PS&D groups, the commercial organization, finance, and corporate supply chain team as well as our supply chain partners.
• The individual will be involved in all aspects of the corporate supply chain including planning and scheduling, sheet converting, and inventory management. The position will also involve all aspects of Billerud’ s transportation/warehousing including, carrier (all or one mode)/warehouse rate negotiation, route optimization, mode/carrier mix optimization, carrier/warehouse/other relationships, optimizing logistics processes including load plan, tendering, load consolidation, track and trace, and other logistics processes/information.
• The individual handles all the IT work for Supply chain, such as writing business requirements, IT configurations for SAP and testing/approving prior to moving to production.

Key Accountabilities:

• Position will also work with the corporate supply chain leadership team on various projects including systems, processes and projects associated with Billerud’s transformation efforts
• Works to establish best practice processes and minimizing logistics cost footprint
• Quality of service obtained from service providers
• Compliance with requirements regarding systems, data, contracts, etc.

• Establish, maintain and manage daily KPI’s across the corporate supply chain
• Help Billerud’s supply chain management team assess the utilization of a supply chain control tower approach to maximize the utilization of data in daily management and decision making
• Enhance Billerud’s supply chain to become less reliant on traditional offline tools like excel and more reliant on our systems of record and more advanced analytic tools.
• Assist with negotiation of rates with warehouse, carrier and/or conduct freight bids

Required Experience and Education:

Minimum Required Experience:

• Experience in all aspects of the supply chain including sales, finance, planning, production and logistics
• Knowledge of supply chain best practices
• Ability to identify and create options

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain and 5+ years of relatable experience (IT, finance, sourcing) for experienced level.
