Summary Description:
The Talent Partner is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to attract top talent across corporate & Mill functions. This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand workforce needs, develop strategic sourcing plans, and ensure a positive candidate experience. Key responsibilities include posting job openings, screening applicants, conducting interviews, coordinating offers, and maintaining compliance with company policies and employment laws. The Talent Partner also plays a critical role in employer branding, talent pipeline development, and leveraging data to improve hiring outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and drive the recruiting lifecycle: source, assess candidates, manage the interview process, debrief with hiring team and assist with candidate selection.
  • Cultivate strong long-term relationships with sourcing networks and candidates. Ensure all key partners and unselected candidates have a positive experience at all stages of engagement. Maintain the ATS candidate files for future database management.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine strategic recruiting plans based on business needs and labor market conditions. Promote diverse hiring and pipeline development Collaborate with key stakeholders on team composition, culture, compelling job descriptions and strategy.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to identify recruiting needs, source the best applicants to fill vacancies and support ongoing workforce planning initiatives.
  • Assist managers with identifying job requirements and create interview guides for use in talent acquisition.
  • Schedule and conduct preliminary interviews or phone screens with potential hires; demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager needs and advancing the best candidates for further consideration.
  • Analyze existing talent acquisition procedures and develop new, more efficient methods of sourcing great candidates (i.e. job boards, resume databases, professional networks, etc).
  • Optimize ATS (Global People Tool) applicant tracking system, as well as candidate relationship management systems and software to streamline recruiting processes.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through pro-active and ongoing candidate relationship management.
  • Develop resources for, organize and attend traditional and virtual job fairs, as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Billerud’s staffing policy and government regulatory guidelines (EEO and fair hiring practices)

Other Accountabilities:

  • Lead structured intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and timelines
  • Translate business needs into clear candidate profiles, competencies, and sourcing strategies
  • Provide market insight on talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and hiring feasibility
  • Own and track key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, and hiring manager satisfaction
  • Monitor pipeline health, including diversity metrics and candidate conversion rates
  • Use data insights to continuously improve recruiting effectiveness and efficiency

Personliga egenskaper

Required Experience and Education:

  • 5+ years of in-depth knowledge of recruitment and talent management software, resume parsing software, Applicant tracking systems, candidate relationship management software and full cycle recruitment.
  • Bachelor’s degree

Travel:  Could vary depending on base location.

 

Required skills:

Minimum Required Skills:

  • Experience implementing and utilizing sourcing strategies.
  • Skilled in conducting behavioral and competency-based interviews to evaluate candidate fit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage the entire recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Robust professional network with ability to leverage network for hiring requirements.
  • Metrics, Data and reporting aptitude.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience promoting the company’s culture and values to attract top talent.
  • Background in recruiting for niche roles or managing large-scale hiring initiatives.
  • Manufacturing or pulp, paper, and packaging recruitment experience
  • Experience collaborating with Organizational Development and L&D teams.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Learning or similar platforms for employee development.
